Flight Bliss: Virgin Atlantic Rocks!
25.06.07 |
Ever been on a flight that you did not want to end? I have.
Honestly, I did not think it was possible–until I boarded my first upper class flight on Virgin Atlantic from Newark to London last week. Now I am no stranger to first class, but somehow Virgin Atlantic has got inside the mind of today’s discerning traveler and redefined the meaning of first class and turned it into “the upper class suite”. How lovely.
Take a look inside:
The seat reclines (even during take-off) and the ottoman can be used at all times for your feet or you can have a guest sit across from you during dining. At the touch of a button the seat flips over to become the longest fully flat bed in the business and every seat has access to the aisle. 22″ wide seat and when the bed is flat it is 79.5″ long. Fit me like a glove and my 6″2″ husband as well.
Down comforters and huge pillows
Every seat is fitted with a power access
Complimentary snooze pack - toothbrush, toothpaste, lip balm, moisturizers, mints, socks, shoe-bag, eyeshades, earplugs.
10.4″ TV Screen - basically your very own private theater with the best sound I have ever had on a flight. On demand films (over 40 to choose from) , TV programs and games. I watched Zodiac & Black Snake Moan.
The bar in the middle of plane was fabulously fun!
On board beauty technician with your choice of massage, manicure or hand facial
The champagne, wine list and food was superb.
Virgin Atlantic is one of those things that you must do once (more often, if you can afford it) before you die.
Virgin? If you can hear me, please add a stop in San Diego. If you do, I promise to take your bird as often as possible.
