Au revoir,
16.09.06 |
Bid adieu to one of the most famous restaurants in Los Angeles known for serving contemporary French cuisine with its extensive selection of exceptional wines in a regal setting for more than 29 years. The famed restaurant, L’Orangerie, owned by Gerard Ferry has sold the restaurant and everything within for an undisclosed figure to another well-known restaurateur, Nobu Matsuhisa. Nobu’s signature restaurant serving the Angeleno’s for 20 years on South La Cienega will close and reopen its flagship restaurant where L’Orangerie closes its doors. The new Nobu restaurant will carry the chef’s full name and will be the only restaurant in which the Nobu partners own the property. On December 31, 2006, the dining experience will come to an end at L’Orangerie in the breathtaking room celebrated for its soaring French doors and dramatic flower arrangements. Gerard Ferry has decided it is time to start enjoying his life.
If you have never been to L’Orangerie, now is the time to experience this legendary restaurant. Specialties include Egg in the shell with Tsar Nicoulai Caviar, Le Foie Gras, Wild John Dory, Grilled Loin of Prime Beef with Ox Tail and of course a Soufflé ending. Reservations essential.
