Inn Love: Chateau La Rue Opens Doors14.03.07 |
If you haven’t heard, Chateau La Rue is Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s new bed and breakfast located in Fallbrook, California not far from Temecula’s Wine Country. Spelling used the $800K inheritance from her father to purchase the 8-acre estate, formerly Oak Creek Manor B & B, where renovations have turned the country frills into a swanky modern Inn. The Chateau La Rue will be run by the Spelling/McDermott family where Spelling will be in the kitchen making her famous red velvet cupcakes and updating the breakfast part of the B & B experience with happy hour and hors d’oeurves. The 4 rooms have been POSHED with Dwell bedding, Flavia coffee makers, Votivo candles, Fresh bath products, Olevia 42-inch plasma’s, Private Quarters bath robes, Elixir + Voss beverages, Magaschoni cashmere throws and more. It pays to be a celeb.
They opened the B & B earlier this month hosting a gala event with DJ’s, local wine tastings, tonic bar by Elixir, as well as guided tours of the rooms where ‘live art’ of models wearing undies were sprawled on the beds. Guests included Perez Hilton, Debbie Gibson, Lisa Rinna, and Kelly Rutherford.
Of course, you can catch a glimpse of the Chataeu La Rue by watching Tori & Dean: Inn love, a reality show premiering March 20 on the oxygen network. It doesn’t get anymore Hollywood than that.

Wait. Tori only received 800k as inheritance? She’s the daughter of Aaron Spelling. Family feud?

Fallbrook is a beautiful area of San Diego. This sounds like a ‘great getaway’ type b&b.

What are the rates? How do you make reservations? Are there any pictures of the rooms like other B and B websites?

from what i’ve heard, all their celeb friends have been down for test runs on the place, but they claim they are open to the general public. i think they’ll need a year or so to get the kinks out, let their celeb friends check it out and experience, before it becomes a quaint B&b. just my take…

What a disappointment. I’m ready to book my 10 year anniversary trip to find that I can’t access an ounce of info off the website. If you’re “open for business” be ready to do business. It all seems a bit gimmicky to me…I think the B&B is simply a stage for their reality show.

The website gives no info at all. Just some pics of Tori, hubby and dog. I have been searching for a B&B that is a bit different and thought this might be a place I would want to go, but cannot view rooms, dates or rates. Not into the whole star thing but thought it might be a kick and a bit different from other B&B’s but am rethinking my desire to check it out. They need to at least give an option to contact via email for info and pics at the very least.

We recently requested information regarding the “La Rue”, this is the canned response received…
‘Thank you for your interest in Chateau La Rue.
Room rates start from $150 per weeknight, and $200 per weekend night, and include a full breakfast. On weekends, we require a two-night minimum stay.
Unfortunately, we are not currently at the B&B as we are on maternity leave.
Our hand-selected staff will be there to take perfect care of you.
If you are interested in making a reservation, please call our reservations line at 877.451.2468. Please do not respond to this email address as it is not checked.
Many Thanks,
Tori & Dean’

I think they could and should charge more to stay there (after maternity leave, of course). That isn’t much more than a regular hotel, and cheaper than a nice hotel. Charge more, guys. At full capacity, you won’t get out of the red for more than five years. And that’s barring any crazy expenses (sound familiar?). Get your $800,000 back! People would pay it.

Is this really a place for average people to stay as it does not appear that you can easily obtain basic info and the website does not appear to be working properly???

People do your homework, this place is fake, still owned by the original owner, who I.m sure is gonna bank big time when Tori’s Show is over, the inn is still for sale $2.6 mil . I was looking for a house because we live next door to Fallbrook and this place came up still for sale, I think it’s been for sale for several years. The show is probably just renting it. Gonna try to get an appointment to see it with my real estate agent. My guess is it will be open after the show by the original inn keeper.

I just looked up the home and it really is still for sale. It’s going for $2,799,000.

I will be staying there soon… Good luck to all of you.

Do people really just believe everything they see on TV as reality?
It’s a REALITY SHOW! The Inn is still for sale, Dean & Tori openly admitted they are just leasing it.
The website does not give you any information, because in order to stay there when the “stars” are there you have to be auditioned and approved before you can be a “guest.”
It’s all planned, scripted, and the scenes are set…just like in any other TV show.
Even if this had nothing to do with a reality show, do you really believe two stars would allow just anyone to stay on their property, and be around their baby, ignoring security issues?
If you believe that, then I’m sure you wouldn’t be surprised to see a sign posted out front reading, “Stalkers and Psychos Welcome.”
