Pampered Pets Enjoy The High Life at Top Resorts04.01.07 |
I have mentioned before the growing trend in luxury traveling with your pets and am always looking for new and exciting places to take a jaunt with our pups, Henry & Harley. Forbes Traveler reports on 10 Pet-Friendly Luxury Hotels that not only fit the bill of a fabulous place to stay with your pet, but they offer programs and attractions for the lucky devils, too.
W Hotel, Westwood, Los Angeles W offers pet friendly atmosphere nationwide and includes tags, custom bed, pet in room door sign
Arizona Biltmore, Phoenix, Arizona Stay in one of the cottages with an enclosed yard, 39-acre resort and many common grassy areas, room service pet meals
Cypress Inn, Carmel, California One of my personal favorites, easy off-leash beach access, common areas for dining with your pet
Loews, Santa Monica, CA offers no weight restrictions
Soho Grand, NYC If you can’t bring your pet they will provide you with your very own goldfish and will bag it up and let you take it home

I would highly recommend Cypress Inn at Carmel Beach in Central California. They recently remodeled their bar lobby area. It’s a great hang out in the late afternoon with fellow dog lovers and their dogs! Some of the patrons are classic; dog in lap, martini in hand. It’s a must visit.
