Yep, you heard right. Marley as in “Bob” Marley Resort & Spa located on Cable Beach in Nassau, Bahamas (not Jamaica) is now taking reservations for June 1, 2007 and beyond.

Originally a governor’s mansion, Nana Marley (Rita and chief executive of Marley Resort & Spa) purchased the property after falling in love with its lush landscape, which became their summer getaway for many years.

Located on a secluded stretch of famed Cable Beach in Nassau, the luxury resort is an elegant fusion of African and Caribbean style. Sculptured hand-carved doors, mosaic tiles, intricate stonework and limestone walls accentuate throughout.

A boutique spa, Natural Mystic, fuses remedies and traditional secrets from Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean, as well as Rita’s herbal bath rituals. An aroma steam room is featured for the ultimate in renewal. The resort’s 16 suites are themed after recording artist Bob Marley’s song titles. Unfortunately, no pictures of the rooms are on the site, as of yet. Rates are seasonal from $450 - $1350.
