Propeller Island City Lodge - Avant-garde Hotel in Berlin
|

A new trend of hotels is popping up all over Europe. Pushing the boundaries of what is expected of the norm, Art Hotels, are giving new meaning to the hotel experience. No two rooms look alike and most rooms are designed by a different artist, designer, photographer, musician or writers. Staying at an art hotel is like being in the center of an art installation exhibit aimed to satisfy art lovers, fantasy fanatics looking to enjoy a little role playing or someone looking for a new perspective of reality.

Propeller Island City Lodge in Berlin, Germany claims you will ‘live in a work of art’ has 30 rooms all created by the German artist Lars Stroschen. The room pictured #42, named Two Lions has dual cages, the toilet thrones atop a tower and permits one to peek into the golden bathtub below. Upon check-in each room comes with ‘Instructions for use’. They have left no stone unturned, each room is extremely creative. I can’t seem to pick just one room.

Let us know what you think of themed-room hotels, does this interest you?
