My husband and I truly enjoy entertaining in our home and it is equally rewarding when our guests commend us for making them feel as if they are at a resort. I would love to take credit for all the wonderful decor and details in our home, but truthfully, I am deeply inspired through my travels. I recently entertained a party of eight at my home and as we were finishing our last course around the fire pit, grown-up style s’mores, homemade vanilla bean gelato with a fabulous red wine, I amazed everyone with steaming hot towel service. A very nice touch to add to any dining experience, especially when our guests that evening are in a culinary league of there own. I have a hot towel cabi, usually used for facials, but in this case which works perfectly well with hand towels for dining. If you don’t have towel warmer, you can easily boil some water and wearing gloves dip each rolled hand towel into water, ring out and display on pretty platter. It’s the details that complete a wonderful evening whether you are at home or staying in a hotel that make for a memorable occasion. Next time you stay some place that really makes an impression, look at the details, the service or whatever it that makes you smile, and bring it home.
