The sun, the surf and the best darn produce can all be found in good old California. So what are you waiting for? Why don’t you get in your car, go for a little cruise and check out what some of the best local farmstands are producing this summer.
I feel very fortunate be able to eat local fresh organic produce grown with loving care and I find that there is nothing more satisfying then biting into a fresh pluot or picking your own wild strawberries.
Chino Family Farms (A personal favorite) You will be waiting along side the gourmet chefs of some of the most celebrated restaurants in California as this famous farmstand boasts never before seen heirloom varietals and vegetables that I have never heard of. True artists in the fields.

Organic heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, strawberries, lettuces, celery, cauliflower…everything picked fresh daily. Just off Hwy 68 when travelling from Salinas to Monterey. The family that runs this place has been farming in the Salinas Valley for five generations.
