I recently entertained a party of eight at my home and as we were finishing our last course around the fire pit, grown-up style s’mores, homemade vanilla bean gelato with a fabulous red wine, I amazed everyone with steaming hot towel service. I have a hot towel cabi, usually used for facials, but in this case which works perfectly well with hand towels for dining. If you don’t have towel warmer, you can easily boil some water and wearing gloves dip each rolled hand towel into water, ring out and display on pretty platter. It’s the details that complete a wonderful evening whether you are at home or staying in a hotel that make for a memorable occasion. Next time you stay some place that really makes an impression, look at the details, the service or whatever it that makes you smile, and bring it home.
